Being A Tourist In London

If you follow me on snapchat then you'll know last weekend I visited London Aquarium and The London Eye courtesy of 365 tickets. Living in London it's easy to take it for granted and not explore the city the way tourists do. Can you believe I've lived all my life in London and had never been on the London Eye up until this point?! Fortunately my friend Kara Chelsie joined me on this adventure and we had such a great day.

We started off with the London Aquarium which was super busy. So much so that they were only letting people in who had prebooked meaning people couldn't buy on the day. I recommend if you are planning a visit then book your tickets online and simply collect them - it's so easy. The Aquarium houses 500 species of global aquatic life with the opportunity to get up close and personal. In fact Kara got to touch a starfish which she said was super soft. London Aquarium famously features a glass tunnel walkway but they also have the Shark Reef which is scarily amazing. What's nice about London Aquarium is that you can go at your own pace so it's totally up to you on how long you want to spend in the attraction.

After the Aquarium we walked a couple meters and headed to the London Eye. Once again our tickets were booked online so we simply had to collect them. Part of the London Eye attraction is a 4D experience which showcases the true essence of London. After the 4D show we joined a queue for about 15 minutes before we were on board the capsule. The whole journey lasted 30 minutes with the view getting better and better the higher we got. I want to do it again but at night time instead. Overall the day was amazing and it was nice to be among tourists who were excited over little old London.

I want to say a massive thank you to 365 tickets for providing us complimentary access to these attractions. If you are looking for a day out in London then I recommend you check them out and they also have some great deals on too. It's been a pleasure promoting tourism in London and I hope to do more posts like this in the near future. Make sure to leave a comment below if you like being a tourist in your own city.
