3 Ways To Fold A Pocket Square

Reiss Pocket Square
One the most important accessories in menswear is certainly a pocket square. I’m sure you’ve often wondered how they first started. Well the earliest documented pocket square dates back to ancient Egypt and followed through the ancient ages of Rome and Greece. However it was King Richard II of England, who popularised them. I feel like pocket squares are the underdog in the world of accessories but a pocket square can take a dull look and quickly make it look dapper.

REISS have kindly put together this cool video of how to fold a pocket square so I thought I would share. It's a part of their short style guide series, including how to tutorials which are really helpful. Alex Field, Head of Menswear Design at REISS addresses common matters related to fashion in a easy-to-follow format. You can take a look below...

I've picked out some pocket squares that I'm loving. You might have gathered that I like to wear darker colours and although I do love anything monochrome, I've chosen some pretty pastels seeing as we are headed into summer. While plain colours are a must I decided to choose some really nice patterns. Timeless motifs like paisley, polka dots and checks in rich jewel tones are always good. Think burgundy, navy, and bottle green, as well as fail-safe neutrals like white, grey and black.
